Sandra Khoo
Sandra Khoo is adDirector, story director & animation artist by day, who works on her own pet projects and animation shorts by night. In the past Sandra worked in the Development Team for Saladin The Animated Series, Malaysia’s first 3D animated series.
Here’s what Sandra had to say about her work as part of the Are We Lost collection:
“I’ve always given a lot of thought to our connection to animals and nature, and it seems these days, there’s a lot to be concerned about, like the last Sumatran rhino supposedly dying on Malaysian soil to the near extinction of our own beloved Malaysian tiger. But I’m equally fascinated with the things that make us Malaysians who we are as a people – our food culture, our amusing but sometimes annoying ‘Ke Poh Chi’ nature, as well as our increasing addiction to virtual and costumed worlds. We have a lot to be happy about, but we must never forget how fragile all this is, and how important it is to preserve it.”
